Brass

Brass Tin coated sheet cutting scrap (70-30): This consists of tin coated cutting of brass sheet or plate, clean and free from any foreign substance. The exterior is white due to the tin coating on the top. It contains less than 1% tin coating and copper - zinc in the ratio of 70:29. Tin helps to make brass stronger and harder.

Brass, which is an alloy made of copper and zinc, can be varied to create a wide range of brasses with varying properties, is widely used for decorative applications in antiques and ox finishes. The soft character and corrosion durability of the tin coating are appealing factors. It results in low and stable contact resistance, compared to copper and brass surfaces. With copper and brass, the contact resistance with time increases due to the formation of a thin layer of corrosion products.

Brass Yellow scrap consists of the cuttings of new unleaded yellow brass sheet or plate, clean and free from any foreign substance. It is supposed to be one of the finest quality brass scraps. Brass yellow scrap contains copper - zinc in the ratio of 70:30.
